The UK has recorded 33,470 new COVID19 cases in one day, the highest number since the outbreak, according to government figures.
Following the increase, the infection rate reached 1,290,195 with 50,928 deaths. Britain leads in deaths in the European Union.
Authorities have said the infection rate is increasing and it is important that the numbers are low to control the spread of the epidemic.
