The alleged arsonists have been arraigned in court

The National Prosecution Office has indicted three suspects in connection with the arson of the Uchira Girls' Secondary School boarding school and the Ebeneza Sango Secondary School boarding school in Moshi district in Kilimanjaro region.


Speaking to reporters in Moshi, Oswald Tibabyekomya, Director of Prosecution and Investigation at the National Prosecuting Office, said that in the incident of the burning of a dormitory at Uchira Girls' Secondary School there was one teacher and one student.


He explained that in the incident of the burning of the boarding school of Ebeneza High School, they took one student to court.


In addition, he explained that, according to the investigation conducted, they found that the main stimulus was bad relationships and the influence of inappropiate peer groups in schools. The National Prosecution Office has said investigations into the incidents and similar incidents are still ongoing.
